About the Role:
We're seeking a passionate and driven Pharmacist Manager to lead one of our well-established pharmacies in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference in the local community while enjoying a supportive and rewarding work environment. The pharmacy dispenses approximately 8,500 prescriptions per month, with significant potential for growth through the development of enhanced and innovative services.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
* Lead, motivate, and mentor a dedicated team of experienced support staff.
* Develop and implement new and innovative pharmacy services to meet the evolving needs of our patients. This includes expanding our current offerings like seasonal flu vaccinations, travel/occupational vaccinations, New Medicine Service, health checks, and home delivery services.
* Build strong relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and the local community.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and professional standards (GPhC).
* Achieve and exceed performance targets, including prescription volume and service uptake.
* Contribute to the overall success of the Pharmacy Direct group.
Qualifications:
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* A passion for providing exceptional patient care.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous managerial experience is preferred, but not essential. We are willing to support and mentor recently qualified pharmacists with the drive and potential to succeed.
