Overview
The Governors seek to appoint a teaching assistant to work with a Year 3 pupil. The vacancy is a named pupil contract and this position is for three mornings per week. The pupil\'s main needs are related to social and emotional health needs.
Responsibilities
* Support the named pupil with their social and emotional needs.
* Assist with strategies to encourage positive behaviour and be calm, fair and consistent in approach.
* Provide a calm, nurturing environment and support literacy and numeracy development.
* Be flexible, creative and enthusiastic in responding to the pupil\'s needs.
Qualifications
* Experience of working with children with SEND needs as detailed above.
* Ability to encourage positive behaviour and implement effective strategies.
* Calm and nurturing disposition with good literacy & numeracy skills.
* High expectations of children and of yourself.
* Willingness to be flexible, creative and enthusiastic.
