Production Manager – Packaging
Location: Leicester
Salary: £37,000 – £40,000+ per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 start
Holiday: 28 days annual leave + bank holidays

As the Production Manager, you will oversee daily operations on the shop floor, managing a mid sized team of staff members. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient production processes, maintain high-quality standards, and foster a motivated and engaged workforce. You will be instrumental in planning, implementing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and allocate daily tasks to all team members, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.

Monitor production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders while maintaining quality standards.

Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
*
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and promoting a safe working environment.
*
Provide training and development opportunities for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
*
Maintain effective communication with sales, shop floor, and transport teams to align production with customer requirements.
*
Report directly to the Directors, providing regular updates on production performance and any issues that may arise.
Ideal Candidate Profile
*
Proven experience in a production management role, preferably within the corrugated packaging industry. However, candidates with strong manufacturing backgrounds in other sectors will also be considered.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

Strong understanding of production processes and a track record of implementing improvements.
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.

Experience in managing health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
