Key Responsibilities · Develop and manage sales within the assigned region (Northern England and Scotland). · Visit customers on-site, including quarries, recycling facilities, ports, and power stations. · Identify new business opportunities with OEMs, end users, and maintenance contractors. · Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers. · Prepare and follow up on quotations, pricing, and tender submissions. · Work closely with the internal sales and technical teams to ensure excellent customer service. · Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth. · Report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback. · Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events as required. Skills & Experience · Proven experience in an external sales or technical sales role (preferably in the bulk handling, mechanical, or industrial engineering sectors). · Good understanding of conveyor systems and related components (rollers, pulleys, idlers, belts, etc.) is highly advantageous. · Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss mechanical products confidently with engineers and maintenance staff. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. · Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a defined territory. · Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools. · Full UK driving license (essential).
