Job Summary
Join Our Team as a Dynamic Occupational Therapist! This full-time Band 6 OT position is based at River House Occupational Therapy Team, where you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team and deliver an engaging therapy programme. You will act as the ward link OT and a key member of the Recovery Hub, delivering OT interventions using the Model of Human Occupation and sensory approaches to support recovery and discharge planning.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a multi-professional clinical team and carry a caseload in the A2 (Acute pathway) or ARP (Assertive rehab pathway).
* Deliver specialist assessments and recovery-focused, occupation-based interventions in line with Royal College of Occupational Therapy guidance.
* Deliver core interventions, take clinical leadership for the hub, and support service development and innovation.
* Support involvement projects within the service and the Forensic Recovery College.
About Us
We are a diverse and friendly Occupational Therapy team comprising OTs, OT Technicians, Clinical Exercise Instructors and Education Tutors. We offer Recovery Hub interventions (Remotivation, Vocation and Employability, Physical Activities and Health Promotion, Creative Arts and Education) and operate a caf and library linked to vocational schemes. We work with CALAT to offer accredited qualifications in-house. The service is based mainly at Bethlem Royal Hospital and supports service users within medium and low security across River House, Chaffinch Ward, and Ward in the Community on the Lambeth Hospital site in Clapham.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* Qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
* Post-registration OT experience
Desirable Qualifications
* Post-registration qualification in related area
* OT professional body membership or related course
Experience
* 1.5 to 3 years post-registration OT experience
* Experience in group and individual work; working with mental health service users
* Experience in audit, research and clinical governance
Knowledge & Skills
* Understanding of Mental Health disorders and treatment models
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and CPA principles
* Risk assessment and risk management expertise
* OT assessments, interventions and outcome measures relevant to client group
Other
* Commitment to life-long learning
* Flexible approach; willing to work evenings and weekends if required; ability to travel between sites
