Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Permanent Position
Location: Based near Dunball/Wembdon/Bridgwater
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a global manufacturing organisation at their state-of-the-art facility. This is a permanent position offering long-term career development within a stable and growing business.
This is a hands-on role, ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all production machinery, equipment, and site facilities through proactive maintenance, swift repair, and technical collaboration.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Academic Qualifications
* Time-served apprentice with a formal engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience in machine and facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment
* PC literate with experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS)
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all site machinery and infrastructure
* Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions
* Support operations by resolving mechanical issues that impact production efficiency
* Collaborate with others in the Manufacturing Systems Engineering department and other teams to improve reliability and resolve complex faults
* Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and site procedure
Package & Benefits:
* Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience + bonus
* Monday to Friday working pattern with an early finish on Fridays
