About the role Contractual Hours 35.00 About the role To proactively support the People Team and wider organisation by providing a high quality and customer focused administration service, ensuring that employee lifecycle documentation is produced and records are maintained in a timely, accurate and professional manner. The post holder will also be the first point of contact for queries to the People Team and play an important role in educating, guiding and signposting employees and line managers in relation to HR processes, procedures and systems. Key accountabilities: Deliver a first-class HR administration service, with the timely and accurate production of contracts and other documentation relating to the employee lifecycle and the processing of new starters, contract changes and leavers on Resourcelink (our HR and Payroll system). To work with the Recruitment team to ensure a smooth candidate experience and ensure all on-boarding processes are completed in accordance with UCAS and statutory requirements. To play an active role in the administration and processing of the annual pay award. To proactively answer all queries and action requests received via the AskHR inbox and other channels in a professional and credible manner, within our SLA time scales and in line with UCAS policies and procedures, escalating and delegating to other HR team members as appropriate. Interviews will be held on 5th March Skills, qualifications, and experience GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent level qualification or experience. Previous work experience in an administrative role, ideally as a HR Assistant or another relevant administrative role that involved HR support. Proven ability to produce letters and other formal documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Experience of using and maintaining IT data systems, preferably HR and / or Payroll system(s). Some knowledge or understanding of employment law and application of employment policy and practise. Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Previous experience and demonstrable understanding of dealing with personal and confidential data in a professional and secure manner. Excellent organisation and administration skills Accurate, logical with strong attention to detail. Confident, with excellent interpersonal skills. Results-orientated, with excellent problem-solving skills. Flexible, able to adapt to change/competing deadlines and re-prioritise as needed in order to maximise outputs and customer satisfaction.
