Overview
Care Workers looking to transition to a school setting. We are seeking individuals from the care sector to join us as Teaching Assistants in Primary and Secondary schools in the WA9 area, working closely with students who have ASD, PMLD and complex needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑on‑one personalised support tailored to each student’s needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes personal growth and independence.
* Assist students in acquiring essential life skills such as communication, problem‑solving and self‑care.
* Collaborate with staff to create individualised learning plans and monitor progress.
* Uphold a safe and secure environment, ensuring the welfare of all students.
Qualifications
* Holding a Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.
* Experience in care settings highly desirable; ability to provide personal care.
* Understanding of autism and other learning difficulties.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students.
* Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on young people.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying needs.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
Contract Details
* Full‑time and part‑time positions available.
* Typical hours: 08:30–15:30 or 09:00–15:00 on working days.
* Temporary to permanent contract for the right person.
* Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
