What you’ll do on a typical day:
To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
* Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
* Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
* Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
* Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
* The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
