What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
 * Demonstrable ability to build strong relationships within a team and with stakeholders to ensure service outcomes are achieved.
 * Evidence of successfully implementing improvement initiatives from a technical and process angle, with a passion for automation over manual interventions.
 * Problem solving and systems thinking – proven ability to break down complex problems and think in terms of system architecture, with evidence of ability to resolve complex incidents across multiple systems.
 * Previous experience managing technical application support, including understanding and exposure to the ITIL Service Management Framework to deliver a quality service.

You will work with a mix of technologies – from Linux and Windows servers to cloud platforms and databases – ensuring our applications are reliable, secure and perform at their best. You will be the go‑to person when things go wrong, helping to fix issues, improve processes and support your colleagues. In an agile environment that uses ITIL and best practices, you will mentor others, drive improvements and collaborate with teams across DWP Digital to keep services running like clockwork.

Competitive pay of up to £46,547.
