Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the overall productivity of the facility. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling of materials.
* Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
* Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage.
* Conduct materials handling duties, ensuring proper storage and organisation of products within the warehouse.
* Utilise basic maths skills for inventory counting and record keeping.
* Carry out equipment repair tasks as needed, maintaining functionality of warehouse tools and machinery.
* Assist in heavy lifting operations, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment is advantageous.
* Experience with forklift operation is desirable; certification may be required.
* Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial.
* Strong understanding of materials handling techniques is an asset.
