Senior Residential Childcare Worker - Ref: CH00526
Salary: £35,412 - £38,220 (plus 5% enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties)
The Role: As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker you will be creative, solution‑focused and able to take the lead in decision making. The role requires resilience, resourcefulness, enthusiasm and a motivation to positively influence our children and your team. You will work as part of a 24/7 rostered team, covering weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleeping in duties with appropriate additional pay.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in children's residential care or equivalent and have substantial experience working within a Children’s Residential setting.
* Provide direct care to children while offering support and guidance to colleagues.
* Engage with children and their families and work ambitiously to achieve positive outcomes.
* Promote a child‑centred approach and actively support children’s rights in safe, personalised small‑group homes.
* Complete an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check as part of your appointment.

This role requires an understanding of the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
