Job Summary
Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a Quality Control Welding Inspector to undertake Process & Product verification in line with company systems, regulatory requirements and management direction. The role covers all product lines that are purchased, manufactured, assembled and serviced within the Glasgow (Cathcart) facility, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ASME Certificates of Authorisation, EN 9712 (PCN) and SNT‑TC‑1A.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
* Conduct all activities while maintaining the highest level of ethics and integrity.
* Verify product manufactured, purchased or assembled against applicable drawings, procedures, route cards or other detailed instructions.
* Maintain self‑capability as part of the Quality Control team and be flexible to meet business needs in line with company procedures and legislative requirements.
* Perform visual inspections of pre‑weld setups, in‑process welding activities and completed welds to ensure compliance with applicable PQRs/WPS.
* Monitor welding in compliance with ITPs, WPS, PQRs, etc.
* Monitor use of weld consumables in accordance with relevant weld procedures.
* Conduct final assembly visual and dimensional inspections per specified drawings and specs.
* Coordinate with internal departments to identify, define and resolve product quality problems relating to welding/fabrication, whilst providing advice, guidance and support.
* Conduct weld surveillance and record necessary data as required by the project.
* Produce weld maps as required by projects.
* Support welder qualification testing as required.
* Complete roll‑forwards in SAP for all shared‑service and Holdco entities.
* Promote adherence to Clyde Union Ltd Environmental Health and Safety policies and maintain necessary controls to protect others.
* Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s procedures to deliver and maintain the highest standards of ethical behaviour.
* Develop within role and participate in training and development activities assigned.
* Train others to ensure workforce flexibility and meet business demands.
* Create and maintain good working relationships and use correct reporting lines.
* Work reasonable hours necessary to meet job requirements.
* Travel to sister, vendor or customer sites and perform additional duties on an ad‑hoc basis.
* Support business aims by performing reasonable requests in addition to core duties.
* Ensure process compliance regarding route cards and SAP transactions.
* Maintain accuracy on completion of contract documentation.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
* CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 visual testing.
* Experience in fabrication, welding and assembly.
* Working knowledge of company SAP system relevant to function.
* Experience with NDT processes, requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Basic computer proficiency.
* Experience with ISO 9001, NQA‑1, ASME codes and standards, RCC‑M, ASNT‑TC‑1A and EN ISO 9712.
* Basic knowledge of EHS principles.
* Good communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
* High attention to detail.
* High level of integrity and professional conduct.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Willingness to travel to sister sites and/or vendors and spend time away from home.
