UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison located in Wolverhampton.
HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men.
The Pharmacy Team consists of 10 Pharmacy Techs and 2 Pharmacy Assistants.
There are 3 main houseblocks with two dispensaries each and three smaller units with one dispensary each.

This role is permanent, based on 19 hours per week, covering weekends only.
Sat - 7.30am - 5.30pm - 9.5hrs
Sun - 7.30am - 5.30pm - 9.5hrs
Salary
This position is part-time, with an annual salary of £31,650 FTE. The pro-rata salary is £16,036.

What you'll be doing
Providing high-quality, patient-centered care, listening to and acting on patient feedback to ensure personalized care.
Maintaining a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient records are up-to-date and SOPs are followed.
Delivering non-judgmental care within professional standards, including timely medicine administration and analyzing prescribing costs.
Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to make a real difference.

NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Up-to-date CPD
Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently following policies and procedures
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is preferred but not essential.
