Job Title: Consultant in Orthodontics
The appointee will serve as a Consultant in Orthodontics at Barking, Havering & Redbridge NHS Trust, contributing to the efficient operation and strategic planning of the Orthodontic service. The role involves undertaking new patient clinics, treatment clinics, and joint Orthognathic clinics. This position carries a total of 7 Programmed Activities (PAs).
Department Overview
We seek a Consultant to enhance our small but busy department, which is clinically well-led by an innovative and dedicated team. The department maintains close links with the Oral Maxillofacial department, including joint clinics, and is well-equipped with advanced technology such as an oral scanner, 3D printer, and CT Cone Beam.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide ongoing clinical care for patients.
2. Deliver a high-quality, responsive orthodontic service.
3. Maintain current knowledge of Orthodontic procedures.
4. Participate in training Specialist Registrars and SHOs.
5. Engage in Orthodontic & MaxFax audits.
6. Undertake administrative duties related to patient care.
