Occupational Therapist

Role Summary
You will join our in‑house clinical team to deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and collaborate closely with the education team and a multidisciplinary support network.
Responsibilities
* Provide OT assessments and intervention programmes tailored to pupils’ needs in an educational setting.
* Manage a caseload of pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH challenges.
* Contribute to staff training, consultation and professional development initiatives.
* Work independently and flexibly, integrating sensory‑informed practice where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate, concise report writing aligned with professional standards.
Qualifications
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration.
* Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
* Relevant experience providing OT services within an education setting.
* Experience working with neurodivergent pupils and/or those with learning, socio‑emotional or mental health difficulties.
* Strong knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services in the designated speciality.
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently.
* Clear and concise report writing skills.
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferred).

Contract & Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am‑4:30pm. Permanent – 52 weeks.
Salary
Up to £53,200 DOE plus £5,000 welcome bonus (£2,500 after 1 month, £2,500 after final probation). Terms and conditions apply.
