JOB DESCRIPTION:

This opportunity is part of a structured training programme designed to provide practical education, technical skill development, and meaningful exposure to the finance industry within a professionally supervised learning environment. The programme offers participants hands-on experience and deeper insight into key functions across corporate finance advisory and investment management. Participants will engage in tasks reflective of real-world practices, including but not limited to sourcing and evaluating transaction opportunities, attending and contributing to pitch discussions, reviewing and analysing pitch materials, supporting due diligence processes, conducting market and sector-specific research, and assisting in investor outreach and engagement efforts.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and a strong commitment to the programme's learning objectives. They should be proactive, open to feedback, and motivated by continuous development. A willingness to contribute meaningfully to team initiatives, with the ability to identify and respond to client and stakeholder needs, is essential. Strong analytical and research skills, critical thinking, and a foundational understanding of buy-side, sell-side, and private capital markets are also important. Most importantly, candidates must show a genuine passion for the finance and investment industry to fully benefit from and contribute to this opportunity.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

ACADEMIC:

pre-university or undergraduate student (ideally 1st / 2nd year with a min. 2:1 classification)

EXPERIENCE:

demonstrated interest or prior attachment in Finance, Investment or Management Consulting

SKILLS (AI):

demonstrated familiarity with AI-enabled tools and large language models (LLMs) applied to professional workflows, including research, content and presentation drafting, information extraction and synthesis, and workflow optimisation. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of effective prompt formulation, iterative refinement of AI-generated outputs, quality control, and the responsible use of AI technologies, with due regard to model limitations, data accuracy, confidentiality, and professional judgment.

SKILLS (IT):

proficient in Google Workspace, Slack & Zoom

SKILLS (OTHER):

LANGUAGES (VERBAL & WRITTEN):

fluent in English, other languages are a plus

KEY DETAILS:

POSITION:

year-long part-time (minimum 10 hours/week) commitment for 12 months

MEETINGS:

twice per week, each lasting 30 to 60 mins, scheduled for [TO BE DECIDED] UK time

remote-based
