Job Title: Low Latency Java Developer
Location: London (3 days on-site per week)
Salary/Rate: Up to £575 Per Day - Inside IR35

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Low Latency Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team within the financial sector. This is an excellent chance to work on cutting-edge systems supporting electronic FX trading and algorithmic execution.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
* Develop and enhance low latency Java-based trading systems and related services.
* Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and QA teams to deliver robust and compliant solutions.
* Prototype and develop solutions in an agile environment to support pricing and trading algorithms.
* Contribute to all phases of the software delivery lifecycle, including design, documentation, testing, and deployment.
* Provide technical support and third-line assistance for production systems.
* Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and software release processes, including occasional out-of-hours work.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Proven experience developing low latency Java applications in a trading or similarly demanding environment.
* Strong knowledge of FIX protocol and other market connectivity standards.
* Familiarity with UNIX operating systems and command-line environments.
* Solid understanding of software delivery methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, or Kanban.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Front-office or quantitative finance experience, particularly within FX or electronic trading.
* Experience with C# or UI components within trading systems.
* Knowledge of low latency performance tuning and high-frequency trading environments.
* Experience working closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure production stability.
