About you You will play a pivotal role in supporting the effective use, maintenance, implementation and improvement of business applications. You will have ample experience at running IT application improvement projects, including implementing new systems – most of your time will be dedicated to transformation projects. You will have strong understanding of business processes and IT systems, and in particular business applications, data and workflows. As part of a small and developing team you will be confident to provide 2nd line support for business applications, resolving user issues and ensuring system availability. You will become a key link between end users, IT teams, and software vendors to ensure that applications meet business needs and operate reliably. You will be strong at building relationships with internal customers, investing in their ownership of and confidence in IT, always maintaining a strong focus on the customer, social impact and business performance. Skills should include: Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems, and in particular business applications, data and workflows. Strong troubleshooting skills with a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving. Significant experience of supporting projects to implement/improve business applications Experience working with third-party suppliers to manage application support and development. Understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem and change management. Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience of working with project management methodologies to track IT projects to time, cost and quality. Experience of a housing management system.
