JOB TITLE: Content Designer (12-Month FTC)

LOCATION(S): Halifax / Leeds / Manchester
SALARY: £59,850 - £66,500
HOURS: Full-Time
DURATION: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office


The role will involve regular travel to Halifax, and occasional travel to London and our other offices across the UK.

About the opportunity
Buying a home is one of the most complex and daunting financial commitments in anyone's life. In the Homes experience design team, we’re looking for someone to help make this process easier to understand and complete by bringing our digital experiences to life and to reassure that Lloyds Banking Group is by our customers' side.

You’ll be the expert on the copy, tone and personality of the apps and websites our customers rely on every single day.

Within this team, you’ll combine research and insights with clear, people-focussed language to refine and develop conversations with customers to help them do what they need to do.

You’ll be comfortable giving and receiving feedback to key internal customers across the business and will work closely with product teams to create success metrics.

As a content designer, it’ll be your role to:

1. Create engaging, readable and accessible content that gives our customers great digital experiences

2. Develop genuine empathy for people, understanding their needs, aspirations and challenges

3. Take ownership as the content expert in an agile environment

4. Think strategically about how our conversations can evolve – and spot opportunities for where they link into other experiences

5. Share expertise to help shape the overall design approach

6. Provide consistency in the way we have conversations with customers across topics and touchpoints

7. Promote and demonstrate how effective writing helps customers


What you'll need

8. Experience as a content designer, UX writer or conversation designer

9. Familiarity working in a complex or regulated landscape – ideally financial services

10. A collaborative mindset ready to be a part of a busy multi-disciplinary team

11. Flexibility in writing on-brand content in multiple tones of voice

12. Confidence in writing concise, clear and consistent copy for different channels

13. The ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across product, risk, legal and brand teams

14. Experience using and collaborating in design platforms, such as Figma
