Working 22-28 hours per week across 3 to 5 days - office based.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing day to day bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries.
• Preparing & submitting VAT returns.
• Processing monthly CIS returns accurately and on time
• Assisting with annual accounts, from both complete and incomplete records.
• Liaising directly with clients / HMRC to resolve queries.
• Oversight of bookkeeping tasks of other colleagues.
• Attendance at relevant training seminars, where required.
• Completion of general office duties.
Required Skills / Experience
• Awareness of MTD changes
• VAT
• CIS
• Accounting in Practice experience is essential: Minimum 3 yrs
• Strong working Knowledge with Sage50, Excel, Xero and QuickBooks
• Excellent attention to detail & accuracy in accounts preparation
• Strong communication skills & a client focused attitude
• Team player in a small supportive firm
Education/Qualifications
• AAT qualified (or equivalent preferred, but not essential)
Other relevant Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications are an advantage
Salary level will be dependant on experience and is advertised as FTE, and will be pro-rata according to hours worked.
