Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be joining a small award winning team in a new role as they look to provide additional resource to the department. Based in the main office in Winchburgh, and with the option for flexible working, this is a fantastic project to progress your career with. As Assistant Engineer, typical duties will include: Preparing CAD drawings for checking approval by the Design Manager / Technical Manager. Carrying out checks on seller’s works summary plans throughout works to ensure compliance. Work within applicable constraints ensuring any changes are acted upon in a timely manner. Ensuring knowledge of legal / red line boundary requirements and keeping team up to date as works progress and requirements change. Preparing small contract scopes / general arrangement drawings as required. Producing adoption / security plan updates on a regular basis to encompass any changes to requirements. Completing packages for adoption / vesting approval (i.e. paperwork and summary plans for Scottish Water/ West Lothian Council). Carry out site visits to check progress / status of minor works packages. Prepare and distribute site progress reports and photographs as required incl. on larger projects. Support technical and commercial on masterplan earthworks. Carry out quantity checks on a regular basis and provide updates to tracker. Following up requests to ensure planning and SEPA compliance – surveys, delivery notes, testing. Requirements to be considered for the role: Civil engineering or environmental engineering qualification (or equivalent) required. Some on site experience would be beneficial but not essential. Experience using AutoCAD software. MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel etc). A full UK driving licence is essential.
