We’re looking for full‑time Qualified Social Workers who can bring empathy, creativity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference. In this role, you’ll support individuals to achieve their goals, build on their strengths, and live independently in a place they call home.

Location & Team

This permanent role is based in East Lancashire (Hyndburn and Ribble Valley), as part of our dedicated Adult Services Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities

Your priority will be to undertake and review assessments of need, risk and capacity. You will source and commission care, undertake duty tasks and support discharge planning whilst working as part of the wider multi‑disciplinary team. As part of the Community Mental Health Transformation in Lancashire, there is a renewed focus on collaboration and coproduction with internal/external professionals, community services, carers and the people we support. This fast‑paced role involves working with adults with a range of mental health difficulties who require statutory interventions.

Employment Conditions

Social Work applicants must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker, or have applied to register with SWE.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Further information can be found on the 'Our Recruitment Process' tab.

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and you must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
