Summary:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring Part Time Youth Care Worker to provide daily support, comfort, and encouragement to the Persons Served (child or youth) under the care of a therapeutic caregiver provider. The main duty of this role is to ensure the child’s physical and emotional safety and provide care to the unique needs of the person served.

You will promote a positive and healthy environment that supports our persons served towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals while focusing on daily life skills development. Qualifications & Requirements:

· A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Human Services, or other related discipline

· At least One (1) years’ direct experience working with at risk youth or equivalent education, training and experience

· Must have knowledge of community resources for the region

· Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s licence

· Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial

· Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)

· Effective written and verbal communication
