Danny Sullivan Group area working with a leading civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a high-profile industrial infrastructure project at Tilbury Port. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key commercial role on a technically complex and strategically important scheme.
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working on civil engineering or industrial build projects, and a strong working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Administering and managing NEC3/NEC4 contracts
Preparing cost/value reconciliations and monthly cost reports
Overseeing subcontract procurement and commercial management
Managing variations, claims, and final accounts
Supporting project delivery teams with commercial insight
Attending project meetings and liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliersRequirements
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in a Project QS role within civil engineering or industrial construction
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts – ideally both ECC and PSC forms
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
CSCS Card and a valid UK driving licenceDesirable
Experience working on civil engineering projects
Member of RICS or working towards chartershipWhat’s on Offer
