Onyx Civils is a rapidly growing heavy civil engineering company in Motcombe, Dorset, seeking a full-time person for the commercial management of the business.
Responsibilities
* This is an office-based role but will include customer & site visits
* Managing and negotiating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
* Handle contracts meticulously to ensure the company is safeguarded in respect of contractual notifications progress, cost, quality etc
* Working closely with managers to ensure financial goals are met
* Preparation of project financial reports
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Preparing bill of quantities, budgeting and cost control for projects
* Working closely with our engineer & accounts for measuring works on site & submission of monthly valuations
* Generating new business leads
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and industry best practices
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Excellent numeracy & IT skills, including competence in relevant software applications (Bluebeam/CAD/excel etc.)
* Valid driving licence
