Job Title: Senior Data Project Manager (Cloud Migration)
Contract Type: Outside IR35
Location: Hybrid – Ideally 1 day per week onsite in Brackley
Rate: £600–£650 per day
Duration: 12 months minimum (likely extension to 18 months)
Overview:
My client are a global business seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Project Manager to lead a complex cloud migration programme. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in cloud platforms, data architecture, and managing enterprise-wide transformation projects.
The business is currently considering 3 platforms - Databricks, Snowflake or MS Fabric meaning you'll have expertise in one (or more) of these areas and take an active part in vendor selection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a cloud migration project, moving from on-premises to a modern cloud-based data architecture.
* Manage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and progress.
* Coordinate and oversee the implementation of platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric, depending on final architecture decisions.
* Liaise with cloud engineering and data teams to ensure best practices are followed.
* Manage timelines, budgets, and project risks, reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
* Support decision-making processes, particularly around cloud tooling and Azure integration.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Data Project Manager in large enterprise environments.
* Demonstrable experience delivering cloud migration projects.
* Strong working knowledge of Azure cloud services and tools.
* Hands-on experience or in-depth understanding of Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Comfortable working under Outside IR35 conditions on a long-term contract.
