Lead Teacher – Specialist Provision – Lyndhurst

Are you a passionate educator who thrives on making a difference? Do you believe in the power of personalised learning and inclusive education? Prospero’s client school is offering a unique opportunity to lead a small, specialist provision supporting pupils with Autism in a calm, nurturing environment.

This is more than a teaching role – it’s a chance to shape a bespoke learning space where every pupil is truly seen, supported, and celebrated.

About the Provision

This newly developed provision is designed for up to six pupils who benefit from a quieter, lower-stimulation setting. With a broad range of abilities and interests, pupils receive tailored support through:

1. One-to-one sessions in dedicated classrooms

2. Small group tutor time and shared learning

3. Weekly enrichment activities that build confidence and curiosity

4. A strong focus on emotional wellbeing, supported by Thrive principles

Pupils also access lessons on the main school site, creating a balanced and flexible learning experience.

Your Role

As Lead Teacher, you’ll be the driving force behind this provision. You’ll:

5. Design and deliver bespoke learning plans

6. Lead and mentor a team of committed Learning Support Assistants

7. Oversee assessment, progress tracking, and IEPs

8. Liaise closely with families and professionals

9. Champion emotional wellbeing and inclusive practice

10. Collaborate with the SENDCo and wider school team

11. Shape the timetable and learning journey to suit each pupil’s needs

You may also teach across the wider school depending on your interests and experience.

The Details:

12. Location: New Forest

13. Start Date: January 2026

14. Contract: Long-term or permanent

15. Salary: MPS + SEN Allowance

What You’ll Need:

16. Right to work in the UK

17. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

18. Recent safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)

19. References to cover the last 24 months

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from teachers across primary and secondary backgrounds, with or without prior SEN experience. What matters most is your:

20. Passion for inclusive education

21. Commitment to personalised learning

22. Ability to lead with empathy, creativity and purpose

If you’re ready to lead a provision where every pupil’s potential is nurtured and every day brings meaningful impact – we’d love to hear from you.
