You’ll also line-manage our Educational Support Workers, promoting a safe, inclusive, and responsive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on all safeguarding, child protection, and welfare matters within the centre
* Maintain accurate safeguarding records using CPOMS and escalate incidents as appropriate
* Provide on-site pastoral and welfare support to learners with a wide range of needs
* Collaborate with external safeguarding bodies and local agencies
* Ensure the safeguarding team and wider staff are trained and informed
* Recruit, manage, and develop Educational Support Workers to deliver effective student support
* Contribute to the centre’s safeguarding policies and procedures in line with current statutory guidance
At Sheaf Training Centre, we put people at the heart of everything we do. We believe in openness, honesty, and working together to make a difference. We’re committed to equality, diversity, and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment for all.
We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups. We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly.
