Job Description
Position: Three/Four day Nanny carer (Part‑time)
Location: Burghclere, Hampshire, RG20
Hours: 30 hours per week over 4 days. Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 7 am–10 am & 3 pm–7:30 pm; Saturday: 10 am–5:30 pm (term time). During school holidays hours condensed to 10 am–5:30 pm (or 9 am–4:30 pm). One Saturday off each month, agreed in advance.
Job Start Date: ASAP
Role Summary: Support an 11‑year‑old daughter with mild cerebral palsy, her twin sister, and a 13‑year‑old sister. Provide childcare, assistance with dressing/washing, healthy meals, transport to school and appointments, and light housekeeping. During holidays coordinate community outings and plan home activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with dressing, washing, and other daily care as required.
* Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks.
* Drive the children to school, hospital appointments, clubs, and community outings.
* Maintain a safe and happy environment for all children.
* Perform usual nursery duties: children's laundry, keeping areas tidy, admin tasks.
* Light housekeeping tasks if time allows.
* Arrange fun activities during school holidays (arts and crafts, outings).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar childcare role.
* Experience with cerebral palsy advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* Up‑to‑date enhanced eDBS certificate registered on the update service.
* 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
* Minimum of 2 professional referees, one being a current or most recent employer; referees must be immediately contactable.
* Appropriate personal insurance recommended.
* Valid driving licence and access to a car; the agency provides a vehicle but an own car is preferred for local commutes.
* Ability to work part‑time over a 4‑day week with flexible hours during school holidays.
Salary & Benefits
£19 gross per hour (approx. £29,640 gross per annum). This is a permanent role.
