Infection Prevention Lead – Leicester Hospital. Nursing, Permanent contract, Part time, 15 hours per week. Salary up to £42,000 pro rata depending on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with the lead microbiologist and support the Matron as part of District Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC).
* Manage the infection prevention audit schedule and lead the infection prevention link team.
* Produce an annual Infection Prevention programme and train the clinical and non‑clinical team.
* Facilitate the quality assurance review and produce the annual infection prevention report.
* Assist with policy development, carrying out action plans and improving best practice.
* Support clinical governance in the hospital.
Qualifications
Registered with the appropriate governing body; NMC registration. At least two years post‑registration experience in infection prevention and control, capable of carrying out investigations, root cause analysis and advising the clinical team.
