We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading security solutions provider based in Preston, working on cutting-edge projects across the North West and occasionally nationwide. The Role As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the full lifecycle of electronic security system design – from initial site surveys through to the development of detailed technical drawings and final design documentation. You’ll work on projects up to £1 million in value, ensuring the delivery of innovative, compliant, and cost-effective security solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct site surveys and assess client requirements. * Interpret and produce technical drawings and system schematics. * Design integrated electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, etc.). * Work closely with project teams to ensure technical accuracy and project success. * Support bid and tender processes with design input and technical documentation. * Liaise with suppliers, clients, and subcontractors. About You: * Proven experience in electronic security system design (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder). * Strong understanding of relevant British Standards and industry best practices. * Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications. * Experience with enterprise-level systems such as Genetec, Lenel, or C•CURE is highly desirable. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Full UK driving licence (essential).
