About The Home
The home is a new facility for Specialist Complex Care for 4 Children, operated by a large organization that promotes from within.
Role Overview
As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the management, leadership, and daily operations of our new care home in Staffordshire. Your responsibilities include maintaining high standards of care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating a positive environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with all Ofsted regulations and standards, including the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
2. Stay updated on relevant legislation such as the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Children Act 1989/2004.
3. Submit statutory notifications to Ofsted and other relevant authorities as required.
4. Provide strong leadership to staff, fostering a culture of safeguarding, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of staff.
6. Ensure effective staffing rotas and adequate staffing levels at all times.
7. Uphold the rights, welfare, and voices of children and young people.
8. Develop and review person-centered care plans tailored to each child's needs.
9. Lead safeguarding and child protection procedures, ensuring timely responses.
10. Prior experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in residential care.
11. NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to attain it.
12. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards.
13. Proven leadership and team management skills.
14. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
15. Passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact.
