Our Residential team is one of the largest of its kind. We support our clients on a range of projects across the Living Sector. We act for PLC; regional; and SME house builders; registered providers of affordable housing; land promoters; and PRS investors & developers in respect of residential and residential-led mixed-use developments.
We now have a new opportunity for a Lawyer to join the team based out of our Southampton office.
What will you be doing?
Within this sector, we are experiencing significant growth. We already have an impressive list of major clients and panel appointments. Successful candidates will join a high-profile team with exposure to high-value development work, including conditional contracts and transfers, conditional options, advising on rights of pre-emption, collaboration agreements, and development agreements, focusing on high-value residential development and investment projects.
There will be ample opportunities for client contact, and you'll be expected to build and maintain strong relationships. Business development is also a key aspect of this role, and you will contribute to the growth of the team by organizing and attending client events, writing articles for our website or publications, and engaging in other marketing activities.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented and enthusiastic residential team invested in your career development. You should have experience in residential development work gained from a large regional or city firm. Most importantly, we value your enthusiasm for this area of law and your understanding of our service offerings.
You will join a growing, busy team where you'll play an integral role in delivering some of the UK's most exciting residential developments for premier clients. The work is fast-paced and challenging, but the team is collaborative and passionate about their work, creating a positive environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need at least:
* A legal qualification with 3+ years' post-admission experience.
* Knowledge of the UK living sector with expertise in house-building and/or strategic land (experience in build to rent and affordable housing is advantageous but not essential).
* Experience managing existing client relationships.
