About the Role
As a Cash in Transit Officer, you will help ensure the safe and secure transport of cash and valuables between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. No two shifts are alike; you will switch between driving and courier duties, working solo or alongside a partner to keep operations running smoothly.
Location: Birmingham, B7 4AJ
Salary: £34,556.62 per annum
Shifts: 45 hours per week, 4–5 days, 4:20 am–8:00 pm (11.25‑ or 9‑hour shifts including paid breaks)
Main Responsibilities
* Operate alone or with a partner as a driver or courier, depending on assigned duties.
* Service ATM machines by ensuring the secure transportation and deployment of cash.
* Follow company processes and complete all associated documentation to meet operational targets.
* Drive and park company vehicles responsibly in line with the Highway Code, company policy and health & safety procedures.
* Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient service.
* Communicate clearly with colleagues and branch management to ensure any issues are addressed promptly and to a satisfactory standard.
Key Requirements
* Provide a continuous 10‑year employment and education history (any gaps must be explained).
* Valid full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Valid CVIT SIA licence is desirable; if not held, you can obtain it through our fully funded training programme.
* Conscientious driving, fully adhering to the Highway Code at all times.
* Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
All successful candidates will need to provide a 10‑year traceable work and education history, complete a criminal record and credit background check.
