Directory Services Administrator (Canaan Lane, Edinburgh)

The Directory Services Team provides administration and support for user accounts on a number of Clinical and Corporate Systems throughout NHS Lothian. The team also administer the network user and email accounts for all NHS staff and GPs as well as email accounts for Pharmacists and Dentists.

The post holder’s responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring user account requests are processed in accordance with procedures to provide a timely response in accordance with the Service level Agreement.
2. Verifying requests for access to systems meet Information Governance and Data Protection guidelines.
3. Fault finding and resolving user account issues logged via the eHealth Service Desk.

Liaison with other teams in eHealth and external Service Providers to ensure that accounts are also available on the requested systems.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
