Assistant Site Manager / Landscape Team Leader - Burnley - £32, – £35, - 6-Month Fixed Term (with progression onto further projects)
The Job:
An established commercial landscaping contractor is seeking an Assistant Site Manager / Landscape Team Leader to support delivery of a live project in Burnley.
This is a hands on supervisory role working closely with senior leadership on site. You will oversee daily landscaping operations, manage a small team, coordinate materials and deliveries and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The position also carries administrative responsibility, including ordering supplies, managing site documentation and supporting project reporting. Strong organisational ability is essential.
This is initially a 6 month placement, with clear opportunity to move onto further projects within the business upon successful completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and coordinating commercial landscaping works
- Managing and delegating tasks to site teams
- Supporting senior management with day to day site oversight
- Liaising with clients to ensure specifications and timelines are met
- Ordering materials and managing deliveries
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures
- Resolving on site issues to maintain programme targets
- Maintaining accurate site records and communication

The Candidate:
- Experience managing teams and delegating tasks on-site
- Strong knowledge of landscaping processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate between clients and site teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Good understanding of site health & safety standards
- IT competent (emails, ordering materials, documentation)
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working outdoors in a hands on role
- Previous experience in a similar supervisory role
- Relevant landscaping or site management qualifications
