We are seeking two experienced Social Workers to join our Multi Agency Screening Team. As a Social Worker, you will make key decisions regarding referrals made in respect of Children and Young People throughout the County; speaking with families, referrers, and professionals to gather information and make evidence-based decisions underpinned by legislation and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, child-centred social work focusing on the right support, at the right time, in the right place by drawing on legislation, practice guidance, procedures, and research.
* Attend and present information at Group Screening meetings held with partner agencies to consider available information and determine the most proportionate next steps.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, other professionals, and external agencies, promoting a multi-agency approach to service delivery.
About the Team
The Multi Agency Screening Team was created in October 2014 and now comprises Social Workers, Social Work Managers, Early Help, Business Support, North Yorkshire Police, Safeguarding Health professionals, and North Yorkshire Probation. MAST also has strong links with Emotional Wellbeing Services throughout North Yorkshire.

Requirements
* A fully qualified, accredited social work professional status and relevant experience.
* Understanding of the Signs of Safety model and ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
* A proactive 'can-do' attitude, with creative problem-solving skills for planning interventions.
