We operate 24/7, so flexibility in working hours, including weekends and on-call shifts, is required. Full training, PPE, and equipment will be provided to ensure all drainage engineers can perform their duties to high standards, regardless of background or experience.
Position Details
* Role: Night HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer
* Location: Tonbridge Depot, Kent
* Type: Permanent, full-time
* Hours: 4 Nights On / 4 Nights Off, approx. 40.25 hours/week
* Salary: £39,500/year

About the Role
Working on the Southern Water contract, you will:
* Travel to sites in a two-person team, using HGVs, operating high-pressure water jets
* Maintain and clear drainage systems
* Accurately record job reports with specialist equipment
* Run diagnostics and repair drains
* Provide excellent customer service
* Follow health and safety protocols
* Manage vehicle stock and replenishments
* Operate specialist equipment such as JHL vacuum tankers
* Access sites safely, using correct procedures
* Perform manual handling tasks safely
* Assess risks dynamically based on site conditions
* Communicate with clients regarding progress
* Support colleagues and conduct equipment inspections
* Report defects and malfunctions
* Carry out risk assessments and adhere to company policies
* Perform other tasks as assigned
About You
The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and safety-conscious. Experience with high-pressure jetting is advantageous but not essential. Certifications such as NRSWA and Confined Spaces are a plus.
Required qualifications include:
* HGV Class 2 license
* Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
* Up-to-date Digi Tacho card
