Lecturer Hair & Barbering – Temporary – 14 hours per week – Ware - £28.58-£30.71 per hour
We are recruiting a temporary Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at their state the of art facilities in Ware.

About The Role
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills; delivering classes at the Ware Campus from January 2026.
As a Hair and Barbering Lecturer, you will teach inspiring lessons to Level 2 Hairdressing and Level 1 & 2 Barbering to a group of 16- to 19-year-olds, in HRC’s vast and impressive purpose made salon learning environment.
The hours offered are
Monday 9am to 4.30pm (6 hours teaching)
Wednesday 9am to 3.30pm (5 hours teaching)
Friday 9am to 12.30pm (3 hours teaching)
The contract is offered commencing January 2026 on an ongoing basis, term time only.
About You
* Successful candidates will display a passion for teaching and enjoy interacting and engaging with students.
* You will work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative.
* You will have great interpersonal and organisation skills and ideally be able to demonstrate previous teaching experience as well as practical experience.
* You may hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one but if not, you must have demonstrable experience of teaching Level 1 Hairdressing and Barbering up to Level 2.
* HRC will consider individuals coming from industry that have a passion for teaching with proven experience of developing the skills and ability of hairdressing and barbering students/junior team members.

* Enhanced DBS application - administrated by HRG but at a cost of £65.20 (unless you already hold an enhanced DBS on the update service)

* Several Online Training Modules sent out to you as stipulated by HRC
