Job Title Technical Sales Account Manager Reporting To Sales Director Location Field-Based (all Ireland territory) Purpose of the Role The Technical Sales Account Manager plays a key role in driving sales growth in Ireland by managing and expanding existing customer relationships, generating and qualifying new leads, and identifying strategic sales opportunities. This role is essential to delivering the sales budget and supporting business development across the region. Key Responsibilities Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to final payment Ensure accurate contract records and deep knowledge of customer plans Monitor customer satisfaction and compliance with stage and final payments Lead Generation & Management Identify and generate new business leads Qualify leads and assess alignment with company offerings Review lead quality regularly and adjust outreach accordingly Opportunity Management Identify and nurture new sales opportunities Maintain strong working relationships with supplier partners Regularly review opportunity lists and ensure accurate pipeline reporting Order Management Finalize orders with customers and ensure all documentation is complete Achieve targeted sales margins and maintain customer satisfaction Sales Order Confirmation & Handover Secure customer sign-off for all sales Prepare handover packs for Project Managers Highlight constraints and ensure a smooth project transition Data & Reporting Ensure Salesforce is accurately updated with all sales activities Submit timely monthly sales reports and forecasts Candidate Profile Education & Experience Capital Equipment experience in the bakery or food processing industry OR Manufacturing/Processing/Engineering experience in the bakery or similar sector Familiarity with supplier equipment and engineering documentation Strong communication skills with excellent literacy and numeracy Technical/engineering background advantageous Skills & Knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills Practical knowledge of bakery processes and supplier equipment Ability to interpret engineering drawings Abilities Customer-focused multitasker Confident in presenting to decision-makers High attention to detail and accuracy Personal Characteristics Demonstrates company values and professional behaviors Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic environments Working Conditions Field-based with regular travel and overnight stays across Ireland Monthly travel to GB for Sales meetings and occasional travel to Europe for supplier visits/training/customer demos and industry exhibitions/events Occasional out-of-hours work including evenings/weekends Must possess a full, valid driving licence Skills: Technical Sales Capital Equipment Sales New Business Development Benefits: Uncapped Commission Fully expensed company car Private health insurance Contributory pension Laptop
