ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Unit Manager (Non-Clinical) will be to support the care home management team in delivering high-quality care with a difference by providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Lead on monitoring standards of care delivered by staff through observation, audit, and direct involvement.
* Lead with monitoring the well-being of each resident, being aware of any change impacting care and care planning, and ensuring that changing needs are met, with records amended accordingly.
* Lead in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations, completing care plan audits, developing action plans, and being responsible for completing these plans.
* Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will demonstrate our core values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. Experience is not mandatory, as we offer a thorough induction and training program to build confidence in your role. Our ideal candidate must have:
* NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes
* At least 2 years of experience working with residents
* Knowledge of the CQC Fundamental Standards
* The ability to lead staff and act responsibly in the manager's absence
