Paediatric Staff Nurse - Oncology Day Case
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse to join the team at Staffordshire Children’s Hospital at Royal Stoke. The role will be based on Ward 217B, Children’s Oncology Day Unit.
* To assess, develop, implement and evaluate nursing care needs of children and families/carers within the ward or department in order to provide and maintain a high standard of informed and effective holistic care following a formal period of preceptorship.
* To participate and contribute to the teaching requirements of the ward and department.
* To contribute to the management of the nursing services by taking charge of the clinical area when required on an occasional basis if applicable to that clinical area.
* To rotate to other clinical areas as requested, to meet the demands of the service and fulfil professional educational needs.
* To participate in the development of clinical audit, ensuring that a prominent nursing contribution is made.
