Church Stretton Medical Practice arepleased to announce an exciting new role.We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile person to join ourfriendly Practice team for between 30 35 hours a week as a General Practice Assistant.
The role unusually combines clinical andadministration work. Clinical taskswould include Phlebotomy, ECGs, Health Checks, assisting with Female Health andMinor Ops clinics and infection control.Admin functions to include post clinic admin, stock rotation andordering, clinical room checks and minor clinical form preparation. We are looking for 30 hours a week across thewhole week although this is negotiable for the right person.
Whilst previous Primary Care orhealthcare experience is desirable it is not essential as appropriate trainingwill be given to the right candidate.

About us
Church Stretton Medical Practice is situated at the bottom of Cardingmill Valley and the Stretton Hills. A busy but very friendly practice with approximately 7,200 patients registered.
We are a 6 GP partner practice with an additional salaried GP, a strong nursing and HCA team and friendly and professional supporting staff.
Job responsibilities
1.
Supportclinicians with basic observations and diagnostic procedures as required toinclude dipping urine, taking blood pressures and ECGs.
2.
Assistwith Phlebotomy.
3.
Arrangeappointments, referrals, tests and follow up appointments for patients asrequired.
4.
Helpwith the completion of basic (non-opinion requiring) forms and core elementsof some forms for the GP to approve and sign such as insurance forms andmedical reports.
5.
Helpmanage minor ops and female health clinics and assist the GP running theclinics. This will include confirming patient attendance, preparing for,ensuring enough equipment is available, assisting during procedures andclearing up.

Assistwith the post large clinic administration such as chasing up patients thatdid not attend, inputting of data onto clinical systems and sending furtherinvitations.

Assistwith the Infection Control management at the Practice.
8.
Checkwith patients attending that they have the correct information recorded ontheir medical records to improve communication with and by the Practice.
9.
Recordingof BP readings from patients in accordance with Practice protocol.
10.
Managestock rotation and ordering, researching to ensure that the best value formoney is achieved.
11.
AssistPractice Management team in the planning, organisation and implementing oflarge vaccination clinics such as Flu or Covid. To include contacting patients as required.
12.
Summarisepatient records and input data into the clinical system.
13.
MonitorPractice water supply for Legionella, undertaking the weekly, monthly andquarterly checks including liaising with the outsourced company to do twiceyearly checks.
14.
Liaisewith the Data Management Team to provide support with QoF work.
15.
Maintainclinical equipment and ensure consulting rooms are stocked and tidy.
16.
Assistin managing incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence.
17.
Anyother role that may reasonably constitute administrative patient support.
