Forestry England is seeking a District Recreation Manager who will deliver our district strategy and support the recreation offering across the New Forest district. The role will involve partnering with leaders, guiding Recreation Managers, and enhancing visitor engagement while ensuring financial sustainability.
What You’ll Do
In collaboration with other leaders, you will help to deliver our district strategy and business plan in line with the national Growing the Future strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting Recreation Managers in the management and development of the recreation offer to connect more people with our forests.
* Leading the New Forest strategic recreation aims through partnerships with key stakeholders.
* Managing visitor engagement via the New Forest Ranger team.
* Overseeing the Permissions team to progress projects that improve financial sustainability or enhance visitor experience.
Where you’ll work
This role is based at The Kings House, Lyndhurst, SO43 7NH, with some potential for home working.
