Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead and oversee their transport operations, ensuring efficient deliveries, strong cost control, and excellent customer service. This is a hands-on role combining strategic oversight with daily operational involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day transport operations and on-time deliveries
2. Plan routes, allocate vehicles, and drive efficiency
3. Monitor performance, costs, and resolve issues
4. Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams
5. Manage drivers, fleet, and external transport providers
6. Ensure compliance with transport regulations and H&S
7. Oversee vehicle maintenance and resource planning
Skills & Experience:
8. Proven experience in transport/logistics management
9. Strong knowledge of compliance and regulations
10. Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
11. Proficient in transport systems and Microsoft Office
12. CPC Holder
