Whether you already have experience or are looking to build a career in fibre engineering, full training can be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity to enter a fast-growing industry. As a Fibre Engineer, you will be on the front line of the service, installing full-fibre connections directly into customers homes and businesses. Working as part of a busy and supportive team, youll play a key role in the rapid rollout of ultrafast broadband across rural towns and villages. What Youll Be Doing Carrying out excavation works within customer properties (including gardens) Installing Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), including pulling and blowing cables through underground networks Planning and agreeing cable routes with customers before starting work Clearing blockages using safe, controlled excavation techniques Working on overhead networks where required Completing internal installations, including fitting customer equipment (CPE) Testing connections to ensure everything is fully operational Explaining the service to customers and ensuring they feel confident using it Delivering a high-quality experience that encourages positive customer feedback Supporting occasional evening and Saturday work as required What Youll Bring Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach A practical mindset and willingness to carry out manual work Comfort working at height and in outdoor environments A full UK driving licence (essential) A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn This role would suit experienced fibre engineers, construction workers or anyone who likes to work outside.
