Maintenance Engineer Nottingham Double Days £40,000 - £50,000 \n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing manufacturer in Nottingham, looking for a multiskilled maintenance engineer to join their team. This is a brand-new, hands-on role within a modern, high-paced production environment-ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving reliability, and being a vital part of day-to-day operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdowns\n\nDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment\n\nSupport installation and commissioning of new machinery\n\nMaintain accurate logs of all maintenance, repairs, and improvements\n\nWork on a range of systems: conveyors, chillers, weighers, mixers, and packaging lines\n\nMinimise downtime and improve reliability with proactive solutions\n\nUphold food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards\n\nAssist with automation projects and other continuous improvement initiatives\n\nProvide informal support or mentoring to junior engineers or apprentices\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nPrevious experience in a multiskilled engineering role, ideally within food, FMCG, or manufacturing\n\nComfortable with both mechanical and electrical disciplines (approximately 60/40 or 50/50 split)\n\nSkilled in fault-finding and repair across a variety of production machinery\n\nExperience with PLC systems, sensors, VFDs, and electrical wiring\n\nWelding, fabrication, or machinery modification experience is a plus\n\nCalm under pressure, highly organised, and solutions-focused\n\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindset\n\nBenefits\n\nComprehensive private healthcare including full cancer cover and hospital/consultant choice\n\n£250 annual Learning & Development budget\n\n£100 annual Wellbeing budget\n\nOption to work abroad for up to 2 weeks per year (role-dependent)\n\nOne paid volunteer day per year\n\nMonthly employee recognition scheme\n\nSubsidised employee sports and activity groups\n\nQuarterly social events (e.g. axe throwing, cocktail making)\n\nStaff discounts for you and your friends/family\n\nCasual dress environment\n\nBirthday off (or another day if it falls on a non-working day)\n\nOption to sell back up to one week of unused holiday at year-end\n\nInterested?
