Role Overview: Develop a deep understanding of the business unit's strategy, goals, and challenges to deliver relevant HR solutions. Provide proactive, data-driven insights to shape business decisions and drive the people strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders. Translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives and facilitate communication and decision-making.
2. Act as a consultant and coach to managers, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and compliance to ensure alignment with legal requirements.
3. Partner with line managers and HR services to manage employee absence, analyze trends, and implement strategies to promote employee well-being.
4. Support talent initiatives aligned with business objectives, collaborating to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce.
5. Contribute to organisational effectiveness initiatives, ensuring successful implementation of new structures and processes.
6. Stay informed on industry trends and enhance HR knowledge, embracing HR technology to improve processes and employee experience.
7. Utilize data and analytics to measure HR programme effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
8. Participate in cross-functional projects as part of an agile People & Culture team, contributing expertise across HR domains.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience as a trusted advisor, building relationships with leaders and teams.
* Strong understanding of business strategy and ability to use insight to shape people decisions.
* Excellent communication skills to inspire and set clear expectations.
* Experience designing and implementing change initiatives that add value.
* Coaching experience for leaders and employees.
* Understanding of pay structures, benefits, and reward practices.
* Ability to interpret data, prioritize, and make evidence-based recommendations.
* Ability to align people plans with business needs and foster a high-performance environment.
