Teacher of Maths – September 2025 Start – Ashford, Kent

I am looking for a teacher of Maths for a job starting September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate) in Ashford, Kent. This Maths teaching job will require you to teach at KS3 and KS4. Candidates who can teach to KS4 and have the ability and desire to teach at A-Level will be supported with training and mentoring. Unqualified candidates or graduates looking to gain QTS can be considered.
This teaching job is based in a secondary school near to Folkestone and Maidstone so would suit a candidate based in Central or East Kent. The school has easy access by road and ample parking for teachers.
The successful Maths teacher will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Maths courses. The Maths department at this school is currently 8 teachers and specialist support staff for intervention work. The current curriculum and teaching standard in Maths are considered very good and students are engaged and enthusiastic about their learning in the subject. You will teach a varied timetable allowing you ample opportunity to demonstrate a varied delivery technique rooted in use of materials and technology and offering differentiation to manage mixed ability classes.
In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
* Sufficient subject knowledge to teach Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Good classroom management rooted in thoughtful lesson planning and delivery
* Effective differentiation techniques to tackle mixed ability classes
* Innovative teaching style utilising a range of tools and media
* Teamwork skills making you a valuable member of the teaching family
